Sugar Packing and Delivery

In fall 2013, Mrs. S. decided to return voluntarily to Kosovo. She initially intended to open a taxi business or internet café after her return. However, after her arrival in her home town, she realized that the demand for such services would be low. She thus used her reintegration assistance grant to launch a sugar packing and delivery business. Mrs. S. is earning a regular income from her activity.

Mini-Market

In summer 2013 Mrs. S decided to return voluntarily to Kosovo together with her daughter. Thanks to the reintegration grant and the support of IOM staff in Kosovo, she opened a small shop in the centre of Prizren. Several months after he return she is happy about her personal situation because her shop is developing well and she earns enough money to make a living from it.

Bar

Mr. K. returned to Kosovo in 2012. After his return, Mr. K., who already had experience in the food and beverage sector, opened a bar in his home town. Mr. K. used the reintegration assistance to set up the interior of the bar. The place is very popular and attracts a lot of clients. Mr. K. employs two extra people to help him with his daily work.

Housing

Ms. K. and her two sons returned to Kosovo in 2012. Ms. K.'s family had a house in Kosovo which required repair work before Ms. K. and her children could move in. Ms. K. invested the reintegration assistance in the purchase of construction materials. After renovation of the the first floor of the house, they were all able to move in and are still currently living there.

Tool Shop

Mr. and Ms. I. returned to Kosovo in 2012. Mr. I. is a plasterer and painter with long working experience. After his return, he joined a business which provides tools and services in this field. Mr. I. invested the reintegration assistance in purchasing new equipment for his trade and he is earning a regular income from this activity.
