Mr. R. returned to Tunisia in 2016. Before returning, he planned to open a hairdresser salon but changed his mind after the return. With the help of the local IOM office he decided to open a grocery shop. He is now earning an income from his business and is able to employ one person. He is satisfied with his situation and sees his future in the place of return.
Mr. T. voluntarily returned to Tunisia in summer 2013. He decided to open a shop selling fish, crustacean and mollusc. He could thus invest the funds of his reintegration assistance grant into the purchase of a refrigerator unit and other equipment for his business. Mr. T. is happy with his current situation and is hoping to obtain a microcredit in order to further expand his shop.
Mr. I. returned to Tunisia in fall 2012. He had worked in the commercial sector before and thus decided to open a grocery shop after his return. Using the reintegration assistance grant to purchase a first stock of goods to sell, Mr. I. was rapidly able to launch his business. Currently, Mr. I.’s shop is flourishing and he is happy with his decision to return to Tunisia.
In mid-2013, Mr. G. took the decision to return to Tunisia. As an experienced mechanic, he wished to open a shop selling spare parts for motorcycles and offering basic vehicle maintenance services. He thus rented a suitable space for this shop and equipped it with shelves and a first stock of products to sell. Mr. G. is pleased with the development of his reintegration assistance project.
Mr. H. returned to Tunisia in 2013. Having worked in the fishing sector before, he wished to take up this activity again after his arrival in his home town. With the reintegration assistance grant, he thus bought a small fishing vessel and fishing nets. Mr. H. is satisfied with his situation and enjoys his work.
In the beginning of 2013, Mr. E. voluntarily returned to Tunisia. He first decided to open a company for the distribution of beverages but encountered several difficulties in the implementation of this project. He thus reinvested a part of his reintegration assistance grant into the opening of a clothing boutique. Mr. E. is satisfied with his situation and hopes to be able to re-open his original beverages distribution business in the near future.
At the beginning of 2013, Mr. R. voluntarily returned to Tunisia. While he found it difficult to adjust to his new situation at first, Mr. R. is now happy with the car tire shop he could open after his return. His shop does not yet provide him with a stable income, but Mr. R. is confident that it will do so in the near future and plans to further expand his activities.
In early 2013, Mr. N. opted for a voluntary return to Tunisia. He already had considerable experience in the agricultural sector and thus decided to invest the reintegration assistance funds into a sheep farming project. He could purchase several sheep and fodder and his sheep-rearing project generates a regular income.
Mr. F. returned to Tunisia in late 2012. He was looking forward to implementing a reintegration project and, after his return, he opened grocery store with a small video game arcade in one corner of the shop. Mr. F.’s shop is well frequented and Mr. F. plans to further invest in it. He is satisfied with his current situation.
Mr. S. returned to Tunisia in October 2012. He planned to use his reintegration assistance grant to start an agricultural project. Thus, after his return, he purchased some cows and fodder to start his project. Through his farming activities, Mr. S. earns an income which allows him to cover his daily needs.
In fall 2012, Mr. A. opted for a voluntary return to Tunisia. Mr. A. already had some experience in the construction sector, which is why he decided to invest his reintegration assistance grant into the opening of a construction business. Since the opening of his business, Mr. A.’s income has increased steadily and he is satisfied with his current situation.
Mr. H. returned to Tunisia in the beginning of 2013. He already had a lot of work experience in the agricultural sector, so he decided to open a greenhouse after his return. This projects demands a lot of work from Mr. H’s side, but it brings him a regular income and Mr. H. is satisfied with his current situation.
Mr. W. returned to Tunisia in spring 2012. After his return, he decided to invest his reintegration assistance in a car painting and auto body repair business. The company belonged to his father and he had already worked previously in it before his departure. As he is currently managing his own business, he is very satisfied with his current situation.
